Brands cannot claim to be purposeful without providing proof of action and demonstrating measurable impact. To have credibility in a call-out culture, they must shift their words into action by delivering real results. As organizations set ambitious goals in sustainability and social impact, communicators hold the responsibility for putting messaging into practice with inclusivity and employee empowerment. PRWeek brings together CEOs, CMOs, CCOs, agency thought leaders and young people to evolve the purpose conversation from talking to collective action.
JOIN US FOR THE 2020 PURPOSE AWARDS CELEBRATION
OCTOBER 14, 2020
The PRWeek Purpose Awards are back and the topic of purpose couldn’t be more relevant. The Purpose Awards will recognize activations that use creative ideas to further positive causes and also to acknowledge the organizations and individuals behind them. The Awards are open to agencies, brands, public sector bodies, nonprofits and NGOs. As consumers and potential staffers increasingly insist on brands they engage with and organizations they work for communicating what they believe in and standing up publicly for those values, winning a Purpose Award is the perfect way to demonstrate your organization’s authenticity in this crucial area.

THANK YOU TO OUR CHARITY PARTNER
GENYOUth is providing grants of up to $3,000 per school to supply much-needed resources for meal distribution and delivery. From soft-sided coolers, bags and containers for individual servings, to protective gear for food service sanitation and safety, this equipment will ensure our children continue to receive the nutritious meals they need. To date, it has deployed $7.5 million in emergency funding supporting 7,500 schools, but the need is far greater than anything we have ever experienced!
PRWeek kicked off PRDecoded: Purpose Principles 2019 by partnering with GENYOUth, Fuel Up to Play 60 and Midwest Dairy to increase student access to school breakfasts at DuSable and Bronzeville Scholastic Institute high schools in Chicago. PRWeek’s team gathered with students, school administrators and former Chicago Bear Anthony Morgan for a special ribbon-cutting ceremony and breakfast cart unveiling. The donation of the breakfast cart will help to serve almost 100,000 meals annually to students and underscores PRWeek’s commitment to community service and youth empowerment.
